“Destroying things is much easier than making them”
There are 4 hunger games movies, and they are making another movie for the series. But is it worth watching them all? I watched all of the films to give you an answer. Yes, you should watch it. In the last 10 years, there were only a few movies that were both dystopian and had good acting in them. Even though this movie has gaps in it, it greatly expresses the book of The Hunger Games.
The movie is all about teenagers (even though the actors don't look like teenagers) being chosen for games in the capital city. These teenagers are being chosen from 12 districts and, they all are pretty poor compared to the people of the capital. The games are about surviving competitions. The game allows people to forget real-world problems and focus on something else. This metaphor is pretty realistic. We all watch our favorite tv shows/films just to forget the real world and our problems, and entertain ourselves with a fake world. Even though the games are real, they are planned by the designers to make them more entertaining. In the first two movies, we see Peeta and Katniss's "love" as an example of this. It's just like watching a reality show, except in the end, only one person stays alive.
I can say that the second movie "Catching the Fire" is the best one. The movie is an all-stars hunger game where all the past winners play the “game”. The movie is more entertaining than the first movie because in this movie we can see Katniss’s and Peeta’s real emotions about being on the game again and we can see the mental harm the game gave to them. I think it is the best part of the films. It’s about what others going through to entertain some rich people. In the real world, there is always a separation between people whether it’s their job or the financial status they have. But there are always some people who work for other people, and I think The Hunger Games has metaphors in it that show this situation in the world that we live in.
